Procom unveils high-end storage system

Procom has introduced a new high-end network attached storage system to compete with new products from Network Appliance, Dell Computer, EMC and others. The new 3200C can be clustered so that one machine can take over for a failed one. Network attached storage devices are increasingly sophisticated data storage devices that are accessed over ordinary computer networks. The 3200C costs about $319,000 for a model with 7 terabytes of capacity and can plug into Windows and Unix networks.
