More than 100,000 pieces of counterfeit video CDs, CD-ROMs and DVDs were seized on Saturday in Singapore, as police launched raids on three alleged pirate syndicates. Fifteen people were arrested. Police had been monitoring the activities of the groups over three months. The goods seized had a street value of $800,000 (1.5 million Singapore dollars) and included illegal copies of Microsoft Letters Installer 2002.
