PeoplePC signs deal with FMI

San Francisco-based PeoplePC has signed a deal with the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) under which 3.5 million employees of FMI-member companies can purchase computers and Internet access. FMI is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., that coordinates research and public affairs on behalf of its 1,500 members and their subsidiaries--food retailers and wholesalers worldwide. FMI's member companies run about 21,000 retail food stores in the United States.
