PeoplePC opens peripherals store

San Francisco-based PeoplePC, which specializes in selling low-cost PCs and Internet access, has opened PeopleShop, an online store that sells computer-related merchandise directly to PeoplePC customers. The online store will carry PC accessories, ranging from scanners to color printers to MP3 players, as well as software, books and supplies. PeopleShop will select and test the products for compatibility with PeoplePC machines. Vitessa, based in Seattle, built the online store.
