Oracle inks B2B pact with ABN AMRO

Oracle has partnered with banking giant ABN AMRO to provide financial services to customers who use Oracle's business-to-business exchange software. The software is designed to help link companies with their suppliers, partners and customers and enable them to conduct business with each other over the Web. Through the partnership, ABN AMRO intends to tie together certain financial services--such as payment, collection and settlement--with Oracle's software. Oracle, which makes software that manages a number of business activities--human resources, marketing, accounting, manufacturing and so on--said the integrated product is expected to be readily available to all customers using its exchange software as well as to participants in Oracle's online marketplace. Oracle operates Exchange.Oracle.com, its own online marketplace for the procurement of goods and services.
