Volera, a subsidiary of software provider Novell, launched a professional services division. The new business unit, launched Monday, will provide Volera customers with a broad range of professional services including software maintenance, consulting and systems integration. Volera plans to work with systems integrator Cambridge Technology Partners and other partners to help support its customers' needs to tie together Volera products with existing systems. Novell acquired Cambridge Technology earlier this year.
Volera, which made its debut in February, targets the emerging Web content networking sector and combines Novell's well-known caching technology with content management services that help businesses speed and manage the delivery of information over the Web. Nortel Networks and Accenture are investors in the upstart.
