Nintendo's handheld player sales rise

Sales of Nintendo's Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Color handheld players increased 500 percent during Thanksgiving week, according to the company. Nintendo sold 180,000 of the handhelds during the week before Thanksgiving and one million during Thanksgiving week, the company said. Sales of Game Boy Advance, which came out in June and sells for $99, went from 145,000 units during the week before Thanksgiving to 310,000 during Thanksgiving week. Meanwhile, sales of Game Boy Color, which is older and costs less, went from 35,000 units before Thanksgiving to 690,00 during Thanksgiving week.
