Called iscreen, the company's program gives parents and teachers the power to make access decisions based on sexual and violent content and other issues.
NewView's technology allows users to create a personalized profile for each child with specified degrees of Internet access. A default access level can be selected for each child by age or specific access criteria can be defined where appropriate.
The software can also be set up to deny access to email, chat groups, file transfers, and newsgroups, and it can produce reports on each child's email activities.
The program costs $39.95 per year for households with up to five users.
