Samsung, the NBA and Twitter are collaborating to serve up 360-degree video highlights during the NBA Finals, which start tonight. The footage will be shot on Samsung's new Gear 360 cameras and served up via the NBA's Twitter account. This is Twitter's debut enabling any sort of 360-degree video viewing in its app.

The clips won't be live, however: each highlight will be pre-recorded and uploaded later. Expect content like "pregame warm-ups, hallway/tunnels right before teams take the floor and post-game celebrations," according to a representative for Samsung.

NBA teams have been exploring 360 video since last year, and NBA games have already debuted live in 360-degrees via NextVR's app.
