Mozilla releases version 0.9

Mozilla.org, the open-source browser development arm of AOL Time Warner's Netscape Communications unit, has released version 0.9 of its software. The latest version includes automatic proxy configuration, a new interface for the personal security manager, a revised mail and newsgroup manager, and a rewritten image-rendering library. The new browser also includes a preliminary version of Mozilla's ChatZilla IRC (Internet relay chat) client. Mozilla's work forms the basis of Netscape's browser releases, starting with Netscape 6.0.
