Motorola have released SCREEN3 in Australia, offering updating online content to selected Motorola handsets on the Optus network.

Motorola today launched SCREEN3 mobile content in Australia to deliver online services such as music downloads and news feeds to selected Motorola handsets.

In conjunction with Optus, the SCREEN3 service is available on MOTORAZR2 V9 and MOTOKRZR handsets, giving Optus customers the opportunity to have updating content "pushed" to the "Home" screens on their handsets.

The SCREEN3 service was originally released in the US in 2005, but is available now in Australia for the first time to customers using the Optus mobile network.

The service sees the continuing partnership of Motorola with the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) music charts, as well as news content partnerships with online news services including NEWS.com.au.

"By placing relevant, targeted content right on the home screen, SCREEN3 not only makes it accessible, it makes mobile content irresistible" said Managing Director of Motorola South Pacific Andrew Volard.
