LAS VEGAS--Amid the hubbub over keynotes and possible acquisition scenarios here, Microsoft officials announced two development kits aimed at software programmers and third-party resellers.
The online Internet SDK is slated for delivery via the Web next month. The kit will include the company's Blackbird authoring tools, the Gibraltar server toolkit, and Internet Explorer.
A similar kit aimed at computer resellers will also be available next month. Called the Internet Business Development Kit, the package will include a Windows NT version of Gibraltar. This piece of the kit will enable developers to create programs that let corporate users share information within a company and over the Net. It will also include Internet Assistant for Microsoft Word, the Microsoft Word Viewer, and a test version of Blackbird.
