Microsoft, NBC to Bring Super Bowl to the Net

Microsoft and NBC have announced a deal with the NFL to bring the Super Bowl to the Internet.

Microsoft, NBC, and the National Football League are expected to announce this morning that they will bring the Super Bowl to the Internet.

NBC will broadcast the Super Bowl on January 28 and Microsoft will unveil a site that will include news and statistics on the game. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Microsoft will continue to work with the NFL and other sports organizations in a bid to attract sports fans to its site, according to Microsoft officials.

Last week Microsoft and NBC announced plans to put up $420 million for a 24-hour cable-television news channel and an online service called MSNBC.
