Microsoft developer, fret not. Microsoft's "Live" services mantra and branding mission is coming to an IDE near you.
Microsoft program manager John Montgomery on Wednesday posted a blog in which he sought feedback on what a "Live" version of Visual Studio would look like.
The Live brand is being placed on Microsoft's Windows and Office products lines and marketed as a way to connect people to Internet based services, part of a company'-wide charge to better incorporate hosted services.
Montgomery didn't discuss any specifics but offered a few hints in the blog and in response to comments. He appears to favor tools that allow developers to more easily collaborate, such as close integration with MSN Messenger and easier ways to share programming files.
