Microsoft confirms online backup plans

According to ZDNet Australia, Microsoft has confirmed plans to offer online storage that would be accessible from within its new operating system, Windows Vista. The online storage, called Live Drive, would be part of Microsoft's Windows Live online services. Initial service may offer up to 2GB of data storage, accessible from any location, for free. Competitor Google is working on a simliar project, called Google Drive.
