Microsoft announces Xbox marketing blitz

Microsoft on Thursday announced a new marketing campaign for its Xbox game console that includes partners ranging from pop band Green Day to the Association of Volleyball Professionals. Xbox will be a main sponsor for "The Fast and the Furious" series of drag-racing events, a concert tour featuring Green Day and Blink 182, the AVP beach volleyball tour, and the Van's Triple Crown series skateboarding contest. The Xbox logo will also appear on Mr. Green, the new "smart drink" from Pepsi, and in Zumiez clothing stores.
