Marimba opens office in Paris

Marimba, a Mountain View, Calif.-based corporate software company, has opened an office in Paris. The Parisian office will cater to Marimba's current clients in France, Switzerland and Benelux with the goal of further exploiting the enterprise software market in continental Europe. Marimba, which sells software that remotely updates computers throughout wide-area networks, began its European expansion with a resale deal with distributor Morse France in February. "Marimba's history is principally with the U.S. and the U.K., but now it is time that we started looking into the vast market in continental Europe," said Jean-Pierre Ullmo, formerly with Peregrine Systems, France, who will head Marimba's French operations.
