Mafia III releases later this year, and until now, we didn't know how demanding of a game it would be on the PC. Publisher 2K revealed its system requirements today, and you can check them out at the bottom of this article.
As far as the specs go, they're quite modest. For Nvidia cards, they recommend a GTX 780 or GTX 1060, while the recommended AMD GPU is a Radeon R9 290X. With more powerful (and expensive) graphics cards already out there, it's surely a relief to some that they won't have to spend the extra money to upgrade their PC for Mafia III.
Along with the specs, 2K released a picture in the style of an old school magazine ad. It's silly and goofy and makes your eyes roll just like the pages of an old gaming magazine. You can take a look at it for yourself above.
If you want to know more about the upcoming open-world crime game, you can read GameSpot's article on seven things you need to know about Mafia III. It covers the game's systems, the New Orleans-inspired city and a particularly effective way to kill your enemies.
Mafia III releases for PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 7. 2K recently announced its post-launch DLC plans, which includes free content in addition to paid expansions. As for free DLC, players can expect things like weapons and outfits for protagonist Lincoln Clay. Paid story expansions, on the other hand, will revolve around ritualistic killings and Vietnam.
