LinkedIn has continued its mobile push by unleashing two new mobile apps on Wednesday. The apps, Recruiter Mobile and Mobile Work With Us, are aimed specifically at recruiters and employers.
Mobile Work With Us lets employers stick job openings at the top of employees' profiles and Recruiter Mobile is designed to help recruiters interact more easily with job seekers.
Recruiters "have a hard time interacting with you when they're away from their desks, which is frustrating for everyone," LinkedIn's senior director of product Parker Barille wrote in a blog post. "But thanks to Recruiter Mobile, you can now interact with recruiters instantaneously wherever they are."
As far as Mobile Work With Us, LinkedIn said, "Since the most popular thing to do on LinkedIn is viewing member profiles and people love working with people they know, Work With Us is a powerful way to turn your employees into brand ambassadors."
LinkedIn has more than 238 million members, 33 percent of which access the site via the mobile app. According to the social network, more than 30 percent of job views on the site come from mobile. So, it makes sense that the company is boosting mobile features.
