L.A. Noire to screen at Tribeca Film fest

Rockstar's L.A. Noire will be the first video game to screen at the annual Tribeca Film Festival, which will allow its creators to discuss the technology and story-telling techniques behind the title.

In recognition of the continually blurring of the line between games and film, the Tribeca Film Festival will screen a portion of the upcoming Rockstar game L.A. Noire at this year's festival.

The film-loving audience will be treated to the cinematics of one of the game's police investigations, followed by a Q&A discussing the crossover between interactive story-telling and the linear narratives of feature films, with a focus on the technology behind the game.

L.A. Noire places the player in the role of an up-and-coming police detective working his way through the ranks in Los Angeles in 1947. Players will solve crimes by successfully interrogating suspects using the evidence they collect in the field.
