If you're looking to upgrade to a large-screen TV but you're not quite ready to make the jump to Ultra HD, JB Hi-Fi is cutting prices on two Samsung Full HD models for one day only.

As part of a 'Wicked Wednesday' sale event (we're not sure what makes it wicked, but we'll run with the name) the retailer is knocking AU$2,000 off the price of Samsung's UA75H6400 75-inch Full HD Smart 3D LED LCD TV, down from a ticketed price of AU$4,998 to $2,998.

They're also cutting the price of the higher-end 200Hz model, the Samsung UA75H7000AWXXY 75-inch Full HD 3D LED LCD TV, down from AU$6,996 to AU$5,496. Both offers are available until the end of Wednesday July 23, 2014.

The retailer is also cutting prices in other categories, offering 20 percent off Blu-ray and DVD players (as well as 20 percent of DVDs and Blu-ray discs), 20 percent off some computers and 30 percent off Beats headphones.

All the info on the deals (including discounts and availability) can be found on JB's website.
