Finnish energy company Fortum on Monday announced it will useto manage its IT infrastructure. Financial details of the five-year deal were not released. The outsourcing project will affect a maximum of 88 employees, Fortum said; affected workers will move to HP by Nov. 1.
Under the agreement,will manage and support Fortum's data center, servers and workstations in Finland, Norway and Sweden. Eventually, the agreement is expected to expand to cover all Fortum operations around the world. Apart from managing 8,000 workstations, HP will provide on-site support and help desk services for 10,000 Fortum workers.
