'A tale of two trade shows': Girt by CNET podcast 75

On this week's Girt by CNET, we're caught between Computex and E3. So, naturally, we look back at the hardware show that just was in Taipei, and ahead to the video game typhoon about to touch down in LA.

After a week exploring everything Taipei had to offer (at least in the way of computer hardware conventions, dumplings and rock 'em sock 'em presidents) the Girt Team is back in the office to run you through the highlights of Computex 2016.

On the domestic front, Australia is gearing up for the local launch of Samsung Pay. While the mobile payment system has been picking up steam in the US, it's going against a far more mature market down under. We weigh in on how we think it will compete with the wealth of local banking apps and tap and go payment systems.

To round out the show, there's the next big thing about to invade your newsfeeds. A few announcements have started circling early, but the gargantuan video game trade show E3 will begin in earnest next week. We take a look at what we're likely to see at the show and what gaming news will probably remain a Super Mario-style pipe dream. The pipe, not the dream.
