Gateway, AT&T Broadband unite

Gateway and AT&T Broadband will offer PC buyers at Gateway Country stores a deal for purchasing high-speed Internet service, the companies announced Wednesday. The offer, available in Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver and Portland, Ore., gives PC buyers who sign up for AT&T-backed Excite@Home service a free built-in Ethernet card, a free Motorola cable modem and free installation. Residents in those areas who already own a PC can get a two-month free trial of Excite@Home service, including installation.
