Clothing retailer Gap Inc. said Tuesday that it's undertaking a software project that will help the company more efficiently move merchandise to its distribution centers and to more than 4,000 Gap stores. The retailer has purchased software from i2 Technologies, whose supply chain applications are also used by Home Depot to coordinate distribution. Representatives from neither i2 nor Gap were available for comment.
