When you play the Game of Thrones, you either win or you go directly to jail.

"Game of Thrones" is known for greed, deceit and murky politics that quickly escalate into horrible violence. This makes it a perfect fit for a new edition of Monopoly, the board game capable of turning even the most serene of family gatherings into a fracas that would make the Red Wedding blush.

Yes, a Lannister always pays his debts, and now so can you! Because the iconic board game, which was first published in 1935, is getting a "Thrones"-themed special edition that will go on sale this year, HBO announced via the official "Game of Thrones" Twitter account.

"Vie to hold dominion over the realms of men in the 'Game of Thrones' Collector's Edition of Monopoly," the product description reads on HBO's site. "Featuring infamous locations from the original dramatic television series, including Castle Black, Winterfell and King's Landing, players will buy, sell and trade their way to sit atop the Iron Throne."

Players will navigate their way around the Monopoly version of Westeros using specially themed tokens. These include a direwolf, a three-eyed raven, a dragon egg, a white walker and a crown.

But which properties in "Games of Thrones"-opoly are the most expensive? Your intrepid CNET reporter has squinted at the above image so you don't have to, and can reveal that King's Landing is the board's most valuable property, followed closely by the merchant city of Braavos.

Craster's Keep -- that muddy den of inbred debauchery -- is the cheapest property on the board, though I suspect you'd struggle to get a surveyor to go north of the Wall for your mortgage application.

"Game of Thrones" Monopoly isn't yet available, but you can sign up to be notified when the set goes on sale from HBO's website. (If you're outside of the US, you'll be redirected to your local HBO home page. Change your country to the US at the top right and click that link again.)
