Casey Coleman has been named chief technology officer at the U.S. federal government's newly formed Office of Citizen Services and Communications. The OCSC, part of the General Services Administration, combines resources from the Office of Communications, the Federal Consumer Information Center, the Office of Intergovernmental Solutions, the Office of Information Technology and the Office of FirstGov. It is intended to form a "front door" for people seeking government services and information.
Coleman will oversee the GSA's e-government initiatives, which include electronic authentication, travel, and acquisition projects and the FirstGov portal site. Coleman most recently worked at Kintana Software, where she served as senior sales engineer.
