"To Shmi or not to Shmi, that is the question."

"William Shakespeare's The Clone Army Attacketh: Star Wars Part the Second" -- the fifth installment of Ian Doescher's Shakespearean "Star Wars" parodies from Quirk Books -- hits bookshelves on July 7, and CNET got an exclusive look at the cover.

The cover portrays Jango Fett -- Boba Fett's father -- looking regal with a feather in his helmet. We also see ships, Clone troopers and Anakin Skywalker in a loving embrace with his beloved Padme Amidala.

Taking his cue from Shakespeare's original plays, Doescher reimagines "Star Wars: Attack of the Clones" in both Shakespearean verse and themes.

The play, which takes place in a galaxy far, far away, tells of young Jedi Anakin Skywalker, who is torn between the duty to the Jedi, his love for Padme and freeing his beloved mother Shmi. The path he decides to walk will determine his destiny as well as that of the Republic.

In Doescher's "William Shakespeare's The Clone Army Attacketh: Star Wars Part the Second," a knight and squire battle, a noble lady is in danger and a forbidden love is written in the stars.

Tormented "Star Wars" characters reveal insightful soliloquies and embark on heroic adventures that would feel right at home on an Elizabethan stage.

Quirk Books is also running a preorder campaign for its first prequel book "William Shakespeare's The Phantom of Menace" (due out April 7) in which fans have the chance to win geektastic swag like signed bookplates, posters, signed boxed sets and a custom written sonnet by Doescher.

All three prequels by Doescher -- "Phantom of Menace," "The Clone Army Attacketh" and "Tragedy of the Sith's Revenge" will be released by Quirk Books this year leading up to the December 18 release of the film "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
