Despite Nintendo and EA promising an "unprecedented partnership" between them just two years ago, EA has told Kotaku that it has "no games in development for the Wii U currently".
In fact, EA said that comments about it and Nintendo working closely on Wii U games related back to the announcement at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2011, and thus had not been an ongoing commitment.

The Wii U has not been a success story for Nintendo, with underwhelming sales leading the company to cut its forecast retail figures for the 2013 financial year by 17 per cent.
Michael Pachter, analyst for Wedbush, has reported that Wii U sales were down 19 per cent in the US for the month of April, with the original Wii outselling its next-gen stable mate by 20,000 units for that month.
