Great news, Whovians -- the Time Lord of many faces is getting a Lego game incarnation.

The Lego Dimensions Twitter account announced on Tuesday that The Doctor from the BBC show "Doctor Who" is coming to the upcoming video game. It's not yet known which incarnations of the character will be made available, or whether any of his trusty companions will come along for the ride, but more detail should be coming soon ahead of the game's fall release date. The announcement confirms earlier, unofficial reports that the long-running BBC property would be coming to the game.

Lego Dimensions is an action-adventure toys-to-life video game similar to Disney Infinity and Activision's Skylanders games. Gamers purchase expansion packs with Lego minifigs and accessories that can be played with in the real world and in-game, and there will be packs for several geek franchises like " Back to the Future," "The Simpsons," "Lord of the Rings" and DC Comics.

The game has a scheduled release date of September 25, and will launch on PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox One , Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii U . It is expected to retail for around $100 or £100 (with expansions costing about £30 or £15, according to Amazon), which converts to about AU$190. You can check out some of the other geeky franchises coming to Lego Dimensions in the new trailer for the game below.
