Dell wins Honeywell services deal in U.S.

Multimillion-dollar deal covers lease of machines, software, operating systems and antivirus support for 57,000 systems.

Dell has bagged a three-year, multimillion-dollar services contract from Honeywell to manage the Honeywell's information technology network in the U.S. The deal covers the lease of machines, software, operating systems and antivirus support for 57,000 systems used by Honeywell divisions across the country. Specific financial details were not released. The companies had entered into an agreement last year to provide similar service to Honeywell operations in 16 European countries.

Dell's Managed Services will also manage the help desk service for operating systems and common software applications and will integrate custom software and images in Honeywell plants.
