Dell hints at Android 3.0 tablets, new Win Phone 7 devices

Does Dell have Win Phone 7 devices in the works too? HTC

Here's some news straight from the horse's mouth.

BBC business editor Tim Weber reported via Twitter yesterday that Dell plans to ship iPad-sized tablets as soon as Android 3.0 Honeycomb is available.

During their tete-a-tete at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Michael Dell, who was apparently carrying a Windows Phone 7 device and an Android, said the demand for Windows Phone 7 devices is higher than what the company could supply.

He also hinted that several new Windows Phone 7 models are forthcoming.

Little else is known about the company's plans. So far, the Venue Pro is the only Dell device to run on Microsoft's new mobile operating system. Its cousin, the Venue, runs on Google's Android, alongside the Streak 5 and Streak 7 tablets.
