Today, we offer a primer on blog commentary from Lifehacker, the "Productivity and Software Guide," which reminds us all to "be courteous" and remember that "nobody likes a know-it-all."

With all due respect, however, we wonder how realistic its pointers are. After all, Lifehacker's first advisement is something that seems nearly impossible for many commenters in the blogosphere: "Stay on topic."
