Internet sports site CBS SportsLine says it will provide car-race fans with live online interactive coverage of the 85th Indianapolis 500 on Sunday. SportsLine said it will provide continual status of every car in the race, such as positions in each lap, speed, and links to driver information pages. Indy 500 fans can also track favorite drivers and chat with other viewers. The feature will be available on SportsLine's Web site and the Indy Racing League's site.
The announcement comes shortly after SportsLine reduced its staff by 15 percent to 20 percent, dismissing between 65 and 100 of its 450-member staff in an attempt to survive adverse market conditions.
