Hi Tom, Natali, Jason and guest,

When you mentioned that pinkeltje was dutch I was intrigued. I’m dutch speaking but I had never heard of it. However I’m from Belgium, not the Netherlands which explains why. I did a quick search and found an article that mentions it’s origin.

quote: The first CD player was to be named ‘Pinkeltje’, after a well-known friendly gnome from a Dutch children’s story. Small and compact, that was the development aim.

http://www.marantzphilips.nl/Philips_Pinkeltje_prototype_cdplayer_march_1979_joop_sinjou/

Now I understand the name. ‘pink’ referers to the little finger or pinky. So the name of the gnome is derived from this (pinkel) and as if he wasn’t small enough they added ‘tje’ to make him sound even smaller.

The story of ‘Pinkeltje’ is a variation on ‘Little Thumb’ or (as wikipedia seems to call it) ‘Hop o’ My Thumb’

Love the show

Star Wars TV Series = pure awesomeness

Tom, your plan to keep Lucas involved in this is great. Look at what the team for The Force Unleashed Video Game did with a similar setup. And seeing that story play out as a side story for the rebel alliance developing and ending at the "Obi-Wan you are my only hope" This would be pure epicness. Lucas is a visionary and needs to give the direction just as you mention and any major decisions made by him but he has to stay away from the camera and let the fans that are now in the industry that he practically created play the story out. I would be so excited to see this series.

Love the show.

Regards,

Daniel the connector engineer

Hey Guys,

I paused the live stream after hearing Tom deny the existence of a
free jailbreak solution for the 2nd Gen iPod Touch. There is indeed a
free one.
