BlackBerry Curve 8900: Free Internet for six months? Thanks Orange

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 is exclusive to Orange on pay as you go, and comes with free Internet and email access for six whole months. You lucky people

Seriously you guys, what is up with all the phones today? Now we hear about the BlackBerry Curve 8900 being available on pay as you go exclusively on Orange -- with no less than six months free Internet thrown in.

Orange reckons the 8900 is the thinnest and lightest BlackBerry with a full Qwerty keypad. It still fits in a 480x360-pixel screen, GPS, Wi-Fi and a 3.2-megapixel camera. Storage expands up to 16GB, but as we pointed out in our review, there's no 3G.

If you do get the 8900 -- or any pay as you go BlackBerry smart phone -- before 30 June, they'll give you six months of free email and Web browsing. Isn't that neighbourly? After that, you keep your Internet service for a fiver a month.

Plenty can happen in six months. The plane crash in the Hudson, Obama becoming President, Iceland self-destructing, the Kepler Mission and shuttle Atlantis launching, MPs fiddling their expenses: all of these things took place in the last 180-odd days. That said, T-Mobile is offering the BlackBerry Pearl 8110 on pay as you go with a whopping twelve months free Internet and email, and even more can happen in that sort of time.

If you fancy being ahead of this particular Curve, the 8900 will be available soon from Orange's Web site and will set you back £250.
