AT&T, State Dept. extend contract

AT&T has been awarded a $49.9 million contract to supply telecommunications services to the U.S. State Department. The agreement, which runs through 2003, extends a previous contract. AT&T will supply enterprise phone systems, voice mail, e-mail, and global satellites, to locations in Washington D.C., New York, Warrenton, Va., Charleston, S.C., and other sites.
