AT&T online service to join the Net

AT&T has announced that it will move its Business Network online service to the Web in mid-1996. By the end of the year, the company plans to transfer its entire Interchange Network to the Web.

In a bid to attract a broader audience, AT&T has announced it will offer its Business Network online service on the Web in mid-1996. The service is currently hosted on a platform called the AT&T Interchange Online Network.

By late 1996, the entire Interchange Network will be Web-based, according to Michael Kolowich, president of AT&T New Media Services.

The online service, aimed at small business and entrepreneurs, features content from CNN Interactive and Dow Jones Business Information Services. Company officials declined to reveal future content or pricing information.
