Astracon gets $25 million in funding

Astracon, a maker of service automation software for communications carriers, has received $25 million in second-round funding. Cisco Systems, Geocapital Partners, and a fund managed by Cross Atlantic Capital Partners led the round of financing. Astracon has now raised a total of $33 million. The company's software allows service providers to automatically provision broadband and Internet services for its customers. Astracon's customers include British Telecom, Genuity, WorldCom and Telstra.
