Apple's holding a special event Tuesday, and we'll be there live to bring you the news.
The press conference, at which the company is strongly expected to introduce new models of the iPhone, takes place at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., and kicks off at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET. We'll start the live blog about an hour before Apple officially kicks off its event, along with a live video show from CNET's headquarters in nearby San Francisco.

We're expecting a new high-end iPhone to follow up from last year's iPhone 5, along with a new lower-cost model that uses plastic instead of aluminum. Parts from both devices have been leaked by numerous sites over the past several months and are believed to be the real deal. Here's a full run-down of.
Apple is also expected to provide a formal release date for iOS 7, the software that powers the iPhone, iPad, and iPod. Apple showed that redesigned software off during its developers conference back in June and has given developers several beta versions of it since then. A final version of that software is expected to be given to developers on Tuesday, with a release to consumers the following week, based on previous versions of the OS.
Apple used its iPhone event last year to bundle in iPod announcements, though it's unclear if Apple plans to do that this time around. Apple held a second event a month later last October, where its other products like the iPad and Macs were updated, and could follow a similar strategy this year.
