Amazon has broken its usual silence on sales figures to reveal that the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet and new ebook reader are doing boffo business. The online retail giant says it's sold no less than 3 million Kindles in the past three weeks.
That's including the range of Kindle ebook readers and the Kindle Fire tablet, which is currently only available in the US. For the third week in a row, folks have shelled out for over a million Kindle devices.
The Kindle Fire Android tablet is the best selling, most gifted, and most wished-for product out of Amazon's entire range of products, despite going on sale less than three months ago.
Sales are showing no sign of slowing, either, to the point that an Amazonian boss says, "We've already sold millions of units, and we're building millions more to meet the high demand."
