Aerospace B2B exchange makes debut

European business-to-business software and services provider Izodia said Monday that it has teamed with TRW Aeronautical Systems in the building and launch of aerospace Web portal AeroVantix. Although the financial details were not released, the portal is the result of a multimillion-dollar investment by TRW, which is based in West Midlands, England. AeroVantix provides applications for TRW's customers and suppliers to build catalogs, manage engineer collaboration, and buy and sell equipment online. Some of the customers and suppliers using the portal include Asiana Airlines, China Airlines, Dallas Airmotive, GE Accessory Services, Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering and Turner Aviation. Izodia is also based in England.
