More potential clues as 'Force Awakens' actors unveil character posters

"Star Wars" actors Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega each post their own posters on social media, while the rest debut on the official Star Wars website. But where is Luke Skywalker?

Kylo Ren looks intimidating with his red lightsaber, but some fans wonder if this isn't actually Luke Skywalker after all.

Edging closer and closer to the worldwide premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in December, fans are scouring the Web for anything new about the movie.

If you're one of those fans, you can spend your time dissecting theories about Luke Skywalker's mysterious role or listening to dry revelations from Harrison Ford himself (while dressed as a hot dog) about his role as Han Solo. Or you can turn your attention to new fodder.

Lucasfilm and Disney on Wednesday released new "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" character posters for Rey, Leia, Kylo Ren, Han Solo and Finn.

Interestingly, Luke Skywalker is yet again missing from the lineup. Or is he?

Actors Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Carrie Fisher all announced their posters on social media, some with excited or pithy commentary as you can see below.

Other character posters revealed include Harrison Ford as Han Solo holding his trusty blaster and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren posing with his blazing red lightsaber -- though some fans are now speculating Kylo Ren might actually be Luke Skywalker in disguise. Rey also has what looks like a lightsaber hilt, or an electrostaff, or is it something else?

Princess Leia is surrounded by lights. Could they be from illuminated battle plans?

These new character posters make a fun addition to the other "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" posters that have already debuted, including the action-packed poster with all the characters that dropped last month. One fan even jokingly added Jar Jar Binks to that poster.

We can't wait to see what new clues are revealed leading up to the theatrical release of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" in Europe and Australia on December 17 and on December 18 in the US. Or if you prefer to be completely surprised by everything here's a tip on how to block all "Star Wars" spoilers online.
