Pros

Lots of stuff: There are all kinds of effects you can use on your photos in this app, although they might not be the kinds of things you're used to thinking of when you think of effects. What PhotoFunia contains are tons of different scenes and backgrounds that you can insert your photos into, like billboards, calendars, wooden signs, collage layouts, and more.

Many ways to browse: If you know what kind of effect you're looking for, you can search for it. Or you can browse through the effects by category through the app's intuitive interface. You can also save your favorites to go back to later, making the whole photo-altering process quick and easy.

Cons

No previews: When you pick an effect, you can't see a preview of your photo in it before you apply the changes. Of course, you can choose to discard the new image and start over. But the processing takes a few seconds or more depending on your Internet connection, and it would be nice to get a look ahead of time.

Wi-Fi-dependent: Applying the effects to your photos requires a Wi-Fi connection if you want to be sure the process will go through, so this isn't an app you could reliably use just anywhere.

Bottom Line

There is a lot of cool stuff in this app, and it's not the kind of stuff you find in most other photo apps. So if you like playing with photos and creating unusual images, this is definitely an app worth trying out.
