They could have ordered it online. They could have stayed home. They could have slept in the comfort of their own beds. But instead, hundreds of people lined up outside Apple stores around the world to get the new iPhone 5C and 5S. Meet the people who were first in line in Sydney, London, and San Francisco.

-What time did you get here? -Midday yesterday? -How many times have you come out to a queue before? -This is actually my second time. The first time was last year around this time and I was- I wasn't at the front, I was maybe 20 something at the back. -I've been here 3 [unk] nights. I came here Tuesday about midday. -And why are you queuing? -Why am I here? Well, I was doing a charity. I'm gonna buy 2 64 gigabyte, the S model. -Uh huh. -And then I'm gonna send them to the highest bidder and give all the money to a charity. -How long have you been here Jessie? -I've been here for just over a day. I came here yesterday morning about 4 in the morning. -Beautiful. Best moment of my life. I'm so excited. I love this place. I love this people. I love the shop. I love Apple. I love Steve Jobs. -Yeah! -Gold! -I'm really excited about the gold phone and the fingerprint feature. So I was like, I gotta do it. -I can't believe that I'm the first person in line even though I have been awake 18 hours, so even though I'm tired, but [unk]. The only one they have in store- the 16 gig, the gold one. I'm a lucky person to get this one.
