1:26 /

At CES 2012, Sharon Vaknin checks out the Samsung BD-E6500, which includes the company's newest feature: disc-to-digital.

Hey, guys. I'm Sharon Vaknin for cnet.com at the Samsung booth checking out the BGE 6500 3D Blu ray player. Now, this Blu ray player has 2 HDMI ports so you can actually also hooked up an Xbox to this blu ray player and use that to connect it to your TV. It also has a new and very exciting feature called disc to digital. So basically what it allows you to do is plug your (??) in this Blu ray player and upload them to the Cloud. Now, not only does that give you a back up of your DVDs but you can also access from multiple device just like your laptop or phone while you're on the go. Also, innovative this year is the ability to control this Blu ray player through an (??) or Android device with Samsung dedicated app. So not only will you be able to control your Blu ray player with your phone but you'll also be able to access details about that movie or TV show you're watching. This Blu ray player also comes with Samsung's Smart apps so you can screen movies from Netflix, (??) and all of those online media services. There aren't any details about pricing yet but we do know that it will come out sometime in 2012. For cnet.com I'm Sharon Vaknin at CES 2012.
