How To Video: Turn on iPhone 3GS autofill

0:53 /

Make filling out Web forms a lot easier on the iPhone by having it remember what you type.

[ Music ] ^M00:00:09 >> Tom Merritt: One of the annoyances of the Safari browser on the iPhone is it doesn't remember everything you fill in on forms like maybe your browser does on your computer, but in the new iPhone OS3.0, they fixed that. Here's how to turn on Auto Fill. Go to settings, choose Safari, and choose Auto Fill. You can choose whether to use info from your contact list or previous names and passwords you've entered or both, and it really can speed up filling out forms in the browser. Once Auto Fill is activated, when you go to a website that has a login, it will ask you it you want to remember that one for Auto Fill later. Hope that speeds up your browsing life on your iPhone. I'm Tom Merritt, CNET.com. [ Music ]
