Tour the gesture-controlled Byton CES concept car
I'm here at CES getting a look at the Biting concept car.
This has their shared experience display.
This is a huge 49 inch display across the front.
This car's gonna go into production in 2019.
I've got Cyrus from Bitning here to show me how it works.
The content for SUV is broken up into four different categories.
We have my communication which is a HUB for all of your social media content, as well as Access to all of your contacts and emails.
You can make video calls from here.
And then we have my Entertainment, where of course we have all of your music and all of your videos from any entertainment source that you like.
We have my Activities, which has the navigation map, our 3D map, as well as Your access to your timeline which has all of your calendar events for the entire day.
So you can see that in the context of driving.
As well as my health, which combines all of the health data from various different peripheral devices into one seemless experience.
And this is all gesture controlled using these cameras on the dashboard?
It is all gesture controlled.
For the production card, you will also be able to control the LCD via touch And for what I understand, the My Health thing will use a watch, an Android watch, that connects to the car and tells you.
That's correct.
Tells it.
There will also be several sensors integrated into the car for the production model, including sensors for getting your weights, as well as a number of other devices that we're looking at integrated.
And tell us a little bit about the tablet in the steering wheel.
Sure, so the tablet is where we have all of our typical driver functions, to control seat preferences, for example.
We have this lovely function that we'll be able to engage for autonomous driving, where we can engage a shared experience, opening up the view of the SED for rear-view passengers as well.
And from here you can of course do all of your seat adjustments.
We have climate control, so you can set the individual preferences for the driver or the other seats for them.
The inside of the door panels, we also have our key tone phones for controlling the same functions.
Navigation for entering, Your destinations, and a number of different settings here.
So you can control the brightness of the display.
We also have several great color themes depending on user preference.
So that's been a look inside the Bitning concept car here at CES.
If you're concerned about this big display, this car's also gonna have self driving capabilities when it comes into production.
