The D-link Gaming Router gives you what you need to pwn the noobs
Hey, guys.
Dong Ngo here at CES 2013 in Las Vegas-- the only place where I can drink and report at the same time.
And guess what?
I like it.
But what I like more is this right here.
The new gaming router from D-Link.
That's right.
A router made especially for gamers.
Now, this router model, DGL-5500
is the first that use the Qualcomm chip set and it has something called the StreamBoost technology.
Now, what is StreamBoost?
It's a very intelligent quality of service feature that makes sure that the connected clients have exactly the amount bandwidth for the internet it needs, and no more.
If someone like you get your children the exact amount of money they pay for lunch instead of giving them $20 a day allowance, which mean that there is more bandwidth left for
other connected clients.
And gamers, we need all the bandwidth we need.
Now, this router supports 802.11ac and offer up to 1300 Mb per second on the 5-gigaHertz frequency band.
And on the 2.4 gigaHertz band, they offer up to 415 megabit per second.
On the back, it has 4 Gigabit LAN port and 1 Gigabit WAN port.
It also comes with one USB port to host a printer or some storage device.
Another thing is
this router is cloud-connected, meaning that you can actually remotely manage your home network when you're away, on your iPhone or in any other smart device.
So, the question is, "When can you get this?" Well, you have to wait until the Q2 of 2013.
And the cost is about $180.
It's gonna be worth the wait.
Trust me.
Once again, my name is Dong Ngo and this has been a very quick look at the gaming router DGL-5500 from D-Link.
