If you need maximum screen size at a minimum price, this basic 17-inch Dell Inspiron 17R is powerful enough for everyday tasks.

I'm Dan Ackerman we're here to take a look at the new -- Inspiron seventeen mar. A man ask yourself wait a minute did I just see -- Dell Inspiron seventeen. RSB. For a special addition. On that laptop and I took a basic low and they have mostly plastic -- like this and patents and actually reasonably high end components. Giving you kind of the best of both worlds decent performance at a reasonably decent price about a thousand dollars. This isn't just the regular Inspiron seventeen. The -- budget desktop replacement in fact you can really see that many desktop replacements being served in its laptops anymore at all. Apple of course recently got rid of their seventeen inch MacBook Pro package idea -- category is going be which -- accidentally -- out with them. There with -- Inspiron seventeen. You get again kind of a thick bulky plasticky body it's not radically bigger than previous generations of seventeen now laptops. But people's expectations. Have changed the last year or so with ultra books and other super thin laptops. Moving up from thirteen inches into a larger fourteen and fifteen -- even bigger categories. So this guy I even if it's only inspect app but still looks and feels really being given to other 2012 flat out. And what they -- here -- 46 and 99 is a core I five very reasonable have 150 gig hard drive and optical drive. And nothing really surprising you can not a hundred dollar top -- -- -- core I three but I would recommend it. And I in order to get -- really in part including -- discrete graphics card you can -- view. Move to that seventeen RF EU's special -- -- that we reviewed separately. -- the other thing it really makes us feel like a budget laptop is the fact that these screen even though to -- except in screen. It's only a 16100 by 900 screen I'm not -- 1920 by 1080 that you really expect from just about any seventeen -- -- -- But it makes perfect for each team. Video viewing or Blu-ray or anything like that. I -- if you're willing to live with the lower screen resolution although I hated it's hard to figure out why you -- giant screen below resolution. I have what you want decent performance and he wanted a big body please don't wanna pay more than -- -- 859 -- 699. Then you're one of the very small subset of people and they certainly could be out there. Who this is perfect for I'm -- and that is the jail is run seventies off.
